Donor-funded Audits

Domestic Violence
SAO conducted Financial audit of the 2018-2019 Domestic Violence Reduction Project implemented by the State Fund for Protection of Victims of Trafficking in the scope of the Government to Government Program (G2G) 2019 – 2022 expressing an opinion whether the Fund Accountability Statement for the USAID funded program has been prepared in all material respects in relation to the recipient’s Fund Accountability Statement (see: State Fund for Protection and Assistance of (Statutory) Victims of Human Trafficking, The Reduction of Domestic Violence in Georgia, Independent Financial Audit Report).

Plant Protection
Since 2022, the SAO has started to conduct financial audit of LEPL National Food Agency “Plant Safety Systems Initiative” in the scope of the Government to Government Program (G2G) 2019 – 2022 aiming to express an opinion on whether the USAID-funded project “Expenditure Statement” has been submitted in all material respects in accordance with international accounting principles and the USAID Financial Audit Guidelines for Foreign Organizations (ADS 591).

TB Prevention and Treatment
In 2021 the SAO conducted Performance Audit on TB Prevention and Treatment in parallel with the participation of three SAIs of Georgia, Ukraine and Azerbaijan. The SAO was involved in the project as a mentor and a leading audit institution in the region (see: Joint Report on the Results of the Parallel Performance Audit - Prevention and Treatment of Tuberculosis).

Flood Emergency Management (Prevention, Preparedness)
In 2020, the SAO together with EUROSAI member states, conducted Performance Audit on Flood Emergency Management (Prevention, Preparedness), which is important for flood management and disaster risk prevention (see: Joint Report on the Results of the International Coordinated Audit on the Prevention and Consequences Elimination of Floods).

Developing Anti-Corruption Environment in the Country
In 2020, the SAO published Performance Audit on Developing Anti-Corruption Environment in the Country, which examined the country-wide anti-corruption framework organized by the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) with participation of INTOSAI member SAIs (see: Performance Audit of Developing Anticorruption Environment in the Country).

Preparedness for Implementation of SDGs
In 2019, the SAO, together with the SAIs of more than 50 other countries, conducted Performance Audit of Preparedness for Implementation of Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) assessing the countries’ preparedness to achieve SDG goals (see: Performance Audit of Preparedness for Implementation Of Sustainable Development Goals).

Atmospheric Air Quality
In 2018, the SAO, with the involvement of 15 countries and the European Court of Auditors, conducted a Joint Atmospheric Air Quality Audit to determine whether the governments of the auditing countries were taking the necessary measures to improve their air quality and whether their compliance with national and international law (see: Joint Report on Air Quality).
