Mr. Giorgi Badashvili was appointed Deputy Auditor General on June 13, 2025.
He has held several high-ranking positions within the public sector. In 2017, he served as Deputy Prosecutor General. From 2015 to 2017, he was Head of the Investigation Service at the Ministry of Finance. Prior to that, he served as Chief Prosecutor from 2014 to 2015 and as Head of the Investigation Department at the Chief Prosecutor’s Office from 2013 to 2014. In 2013, he also served as Deputy Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Badashvili occupied various operational and managerial roles, including positions within the Tbilisi Main Department of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance (2011–2012) and the Adjara Department, where he served as an investigator (2006–2008).
He holds a degree from the Faculty of Law at Georgian Technical University, from which he graduated in 2003.
Mr. Badashvili is fluent in English and Russian.
