Oversees the departments that perform the perfomance audit, the audit of general state services, the audit of the defense, public order, security and economic activities.
As Deputy Auditor General, she is also responsible for relations with the Parliament of Georgia.
She has been appointed as a deputy the auditor general since April 2023.
She headed the Audit Department of Defense, Public Order and Security 2018-2023, served as a Deputy Chief of the same Department in 2016-2018.
In 2014-2016, she worked in the Performance Audit Department, where she held the positions of Auditor, then Senior, Lead and Chief Auditor. In 2012-2014, she worked as an Assistant-Auditor at the Social Sector Audit Department.
Since 2011, Sophio Dvalishvili has been actively involved in joint projects of the State Audit Office and partner organizations (National Audit Office of Sweden (NAO), GIZ, USAID, World Bank). She has undergone numerous trainings on various topics of public audit both in Georgia, Germany, Montenegro and Korea.
In 2016, she earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Georgia. In 2007-2011, she studied at the Georgian-American University, where she received a Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree.
She speaks English and Russian.
