Representatives of the World Bank Assessment Mission held a meeting at the State Audit Office.
The State Audit Office, within the framework of its competence, is involved in the Interagency Assessment Working Group, which is studying the public expenditures and financial accountability (PEFA) of Georgia in 2016.
PEFA (Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability) is a worldwide system of public expenditures performance assessment, which is based on indicators jointly developed by the European Union and the World Bank.
Interagency Assessment Working Group worked out PEFA’s 2016 self-assessment primary report. This type of assessment was conducted in Georgia in 2008 and 2012. It should be noted that in the external audit component, the assessment of the State Audit Office is characterized by an increasing tendency.
Eka Ghazadze, Deputy Auditor General, Marika Natsvlishvili, Head of State Budget Analysis and Strategic Planning Department and Tsotne Karkashadze, Head of the State Budget Analysis Unit took part in the meeting of the Interagency Assessment Working Group.
