On March 26-27, 2016, workshop on :”Parliamentary and external financial oversight” organized by GIZ was held.
Following issues were discussed at the workshop:
- Parliament’s budgetary authority;
- Relationship between parliamentary and external financial oversight;
- SAO’s mandate and independence;
- Budget management efficiency principle.
Aim of the workshop was to develop the draft of appropriate articles of constitution in regard of the above-mentioned issues.
Head of the Legal Department of the State Audit Office Nato Zaalishvili held the presentation on improvement of regulations and standards of the SAO’s constitutional mandate and offered respective draft project.
The workshop was attended by the representatives of the Georgian Parliament, Ministry of Finance, President’s Administration, Supreme Audit Institution of Germany and Georgian government.
