On April 13, the State Audit Office (SAO) hosted the experts of the European Court of Auditors and State Audit Office of Hungary within the framework of the working meetings. The experts will conduct 5-day workshop with the representatives of the SAO, where they will discuss the IT Self-Assessment (ITSA) and IT Audit Self-Assessment (ITASA) issues and will issue relevant recommendations for the further development of this sphere.
Taking into account the new technical risks and rapid changes of the environment, it is very important to improve IT environment and to form the SAO as a model organization within this process. The attention in this direction should be paid to the Information Technologies Self-Assessment environment, which implies the assessment of the IT security and performance of the SAO with the help of pre-defined methodology and questionnaires. Workshop will focus on the use of IT opportunities and challenges in the SAO’s main activities.
ITASA includes the analysis of the IT audit methodological and procedural issues, sharing of vision and current experience and also relevant support of the experts.
Participants of the meeting will discuss IT audit directions within the framework of the vision, challenges and further development of the SAO.
