Within the framework of the working visit, the delegations of the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Mongolia visited the State Audit Office.
Representatives of the State Audit Office held the presentation for the members of the delegations on the SAO’s structure, mandate and strategy as well as on "Political Finances Monitoring" in Georgia.
The guests expressed their interest regarding Georgia’s experience in financing of political parties and monitoring of funding of pre-election campaigns, as well as about the role and mandate of the State Audit Office in transparency of political finances.
Delegations will take part in the regional conference organized by the State Audit Office - "Money in Politics" hosted on June 26-27 in Tbilisi.
Chair of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Moldova and members of the commission as well as Deputy Auditor General of the Republic of Mongolia and representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations working on political parties’ issue attended the meeting held at the State Audit Office.
