The purpose of the G3 project was to support the SAO in addressing governance challenges and transparency in Georgia. The current component with the SAO aimed to develop capacity and deepen its cooperation with the US Government Accountability Office (GAO).
Project Outcomes:
- Cooperation with the US Government Accountability Office (GAO) has deepened.
- A draft strategy of the SAO has been prepared with the assistance of US experts.
- An action plan for the Strategic Plan 2013-2016 was developed.
- The system of annual monitoring and reporting of the organization’s activities has been established.
- Based on consultations with GAO experts similar training modules of the International Auditor Fellowship Program has been prepared.
- GAO experts have conducted number of training courses for the SAO staff.
