Performance audit report on "Providing medical service to the staff of the MOD of Georgia" prepared by the State Audit Office was discussed at the session of the working group of the Parliament. Audit covered the period of 2016,where various topical issues of interest for the auditors were reviewed includingavailability of healthcare services, healthcare prevention measures in the army, services provided under insurance contracts.
The report was presented by the Head of Defense, Public Order and Security Audit Department Sophio Dvalishvili. The Deputy Auditor General Davit Gogichaishvili answered the questions of MPs.
The representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia attended the meeting as well with theDeputy Minister of Defense Zaal Kapanadze who discussed the standpoint of the Ministry regarding the audit report.
