TheMemorandum of Understanding was signed between the State Audit Office and the Audit Chamber of the Republic of Armenia. The Memorandum envisages experience sharing and institutional strengthening between the respective supreme audit institutions of the two countries.
The memorandum was signed by the Auditor General Irakli Mekvabishvili and the Chairman of the Audit Chamber Levon Yolyan.
Within the scope of two-day visit, representatives of the State Audit Office presented various audit practices, including the performance audit, budget analysis, financial audit and innovations to the Audit Chamber.
Members of the Audit Chamber delegation from its part introduced the development strategy of the Chamber to the Georgian side. The delegations shared their insights and discussed the possibilities of deepening of bilateral cooperation.
The Visit of the representatives of the Audit Chamber was supported by the GIZ program "Public Finance Management in the South Caucasus".
