A delegation of the Mongolian National Audit office visited the State Audit Office within the framework of the UNDP program in order to share experience from the SAO.
Within the framework of the two-day working visit, the representatives of different departments of the State Audit Office shared with their colleagues the existing practices and experiences related to the of program budgeting, audit planning, audit quality control and assurance systems, financial and performance audits. Also, colleagues were introduced to the findings of the „Performance Audit of Preparedness for Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals“ conducted by the State Audit Office, the recommendations and the results achieved as a result of the audit.
The representatives of the State Audit Office presented to their colleagues the electronic system for monitoring the Audit Recommendation Implementation System (ARIS) implemented by the Office and the analytical web platform „Budget Monitor“.
Tsotne Karkashadze, the Head of the State Budget and Strategic Analysis Department, introduced to the members of the delegation the strategy of the SAO and the results of the assessment of the SAI-PMF, as well as spoke about the importance of the assessment of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI IDI).
The Mongolian delegation has been visiting Georgia with the support of the United Nations Organization, within the scope of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) program „Budgeting for Employment Transformation in Mongolia“.
