Tbilisi Open University joined the "Public Sector Auditors Certification Program", which was planned by the Public Audit Institute with 7 high education institutes within the framework of the Memorandum.
Director of the Public Audit Institute Davit Azmaifarashvili and the Head of the General State Services Audit Department Giorgi Kekelishvili presented about the program for the Tbilisi Open University students and answered their questions.
Further to the signed memorandum, students of Bachelor’s and Master’s degree are able to be involved in the Public Sector Auditors Certification Program and attend training course.
After successful completion of certification exams, the graduates will receive 5-year certificate, which will allow them to carry out audit in the public sector. The training course starts on 1 June and will last 3 months.
Certification of public sector auditors is an exclusive right of the Public Audit Institute.
The Public Audit Institute was established within the State Audit Office in 2011. The Institute promotes professional development of public sector auditors and thus facilitates improvement of public finance management. The Institute works with the certification and training programs based on the best international practice.
