enhanced the capacity of the Supreme Audit Institutions in the Eastern Partnership countries of Georgia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Armenia and Ukraine in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISSAI).
Project Outcomes:
- A multilateral MoU was signed between the Supreme Audit Institutions of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, Georgia and Ukraine.
- A parallel performance audit in line with the 3rd Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) “Ensuring Healthy Living and Wellbeing for People of All Ages” on the topic - Tuberculosis Prevention and Treatment has been conducted.
- The SAO staff completed internships at the Office of the Auditor General of Canada.
- Auditors from Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Armenia completed internships in various departments of the SAO in the areas of performance audit, IT audit, financial audit, state budget analysis, strategic planning, media and public relations.
- Training of financial audit was conducted for 40 auditors of the Chamber Accounts of Azerbaijan, and performance audit trainings was conducted for 30 auditors of the Chamber of Audit of Armenia respectively.
- The project provided funding for online international certificate courses for the staff in the direction of data analysis and IT security.
