State Audit Office will share experience with the Eastern Partnership countries within the framework of the new project 11 July, 2019

With support of the German International Development Cooperation (GIZ), the Eastern Partnership Regional Project was elaborated at the State Audit Office, which will be implemented with the participation of Supreme Audit Institutions of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, and Ukraine.

The project aims to strengthen the capacities of the Supreme Audit Institutions of the Eastern Partnership countries in accordance with the International Standards (ISSAIs) audit practice.

The multilateral Memorandum of Understanding was concluded among the Supreme Audit Institutions participating in the project, which entails sharing knowledge and experience in different directions of audit activities, implementation of joint parallel audits and analytical activities.

Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding has been signed in Tbilisi by the heads of Surpeme Audit Institutions of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine and the deputy head of the Supreme Audit Institution of Belarus.

Representatives of the German International Development Cooperation (GIZ), Embassy of Germany, representatives of the Embassies of the project participants, and international organisations, partnering with the State Audit Office, attended the event.

The project "Strengthening the capacity of Supreme Audit Institutions in the Eastern Partnership Countries (EaP) to monitor the achievement of Agenda 2030 objectives” will last until September 2020.

The project is financed by the German government under the program "Eastern Partnership Regional Fund for Public Administration Reform".
