STATE AUDIT OFFICE REPORT “ON AMENDMENTS OF DRAFT LAW OF GEORGIA’S 2015 STATE BUDGET LAW” (FIRST SUBMISSION)


On November 19, 2015, the State Audit Office submitted a report at the final sessions of the Budget and Finance Committee of the Parliament “On the amendments of the draft law of Georgia’s 2015 state budget law” (first submission).

In the report, the attention was paid to such important issues as economic growth, data of the state budget revenues and expenditures components and their feasibility; compliance of the amount of funds allocated by the “Remuneration of labor” article to the Georgian government’s requirements; apportionment of appropriations related to the individual programs and sub-programs, current situation of utilization and important issues concerning to the public debt management.

Final session was held in an interactive mode and along with other important issues, special attention was drawn to the contingent liabilities of the accounting existed practice in Georgia and internationally recognized standards.

After the meeting, Parliament of Georgia returned a draft law to the Ministry of Finance for its finalization.
