Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation was signed between the State Audit Office and Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
According to the Memorandum, graduates and staff will have the opportunity to take training courses and seminars in the field of public audit, get involved in the Public Sector Auditors Certification Program, and attend an internship program of the State Audit Office as well. Students will also be able to meet with the representatives of the State Audit Office and experts of the field.
Trainings and Certification programs are carried out by the LEPL Public Audit Institute established by the State Audit Office, which has an exclusive right to certify public sector auditors. After signing the memorandum, representatives of TSU’s focused specialization will have the opportunity to pass the desired training and certification courses at the Public Audit Institute. After successful completion of the certification programs, the Public Audit Institute will issue a five-year certificates giving the right to audit public sector institutions.
The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by the Auditor General Irakli Mekvabishvili, Rector of TSU Giorgi Sharvashidze and Director of the Public Audit Institute Davit Azmaiparashvili.
TSU is already the fourteenth higher education institution, with which the the Public Audit Institute cooperates on the basis of Memorandum of Cooperation.
