Auditor General Irakli Mekvabishvili and Deputy Auditor General Ekaterine Gazadze met with the member of the Audit Office of the German Federation Matthias Maehring and the GIZ PFM Advisor Inga Sinjikashvili.
The main aspects of cooperation between the State Audit Office and the GIZ, including organizational and technical issues were discussed at the meeting.
According to Dr. Matthias Maehring, the German side is actively cooperating with the Parliament of Georgia as well in regard with those legislative initiatives that will facilitate institutional strengthening of the State Audit Office.
Auditor General appreciated guests for the support. According to Irakli Mekvabishvili, partnership with the GIZ will help the State Audit Office to perform high quality audit activities in accordance with international standards.
