Workshop on the Audit Preparedness of the implementation of INTOSAI IDI Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was held in Jaipur, India, in which Nino Pruidze, the Chief Analyst of the State Audit Office took part.
Representatives of the Supreme Audit Institutions, UNDESA and International Budget Partnership (IBP) discussed the role of the supreme audit institutions in SDG\'s implementation process, audit plans and relevant recommendations. Discussions of the specific characteristics of the performance audit of SDG, related opportunities and challenges were also held.
At the meeting, the SAO’s representative held the presentation of the SAO’s web-platform - "Budget Monitoring" as a unique mechanism for increasing awareness and information about SDGs as well as providing innovative ways of audit findings to citizens. Participants of the project expressed their willingness to cooperate with the State Audit Office with the aim to share and introduce the innovative project.
It should be noted that the auditors of the State Audit Office successfully completed the two-month e-training in the first phase of the INTOSAI IDI project and prepared the performance audit plan. According to the project, next meeting is scheduled to be held in May 2018 to discuss the draft version of the Performance Audit Report of SDG.
