15 participants of the one-year internship program got employed in various audit departments at the State Audit Office.
Internship program participants were awarded special certificates by Auditor General Irakli Mekvabishvili and were introduced to the decision of the office; Following one year of working at the office, as a result of best evaluation, they were given the opportunity to be employed as an Assistant Auditor.
According to Irakli Mekvabishvili, attracting highly qualified and professional staff and supporting their development is critically important for achieving the strategic goals of the State Audit Office.
The paid internship program at the State Audit Office was launched last November and was implemented for the first time. 20 trainees were selected by the special commission from 1000 applicants for the internship. The duration of the internship was defined from 6 months to 12 months. The interns passed intermediate exams and tests along with enhancing professional skills.
The goal of the program is to attract young, promising staff, develop their professionalism and therefore strengthen the performance of the office.
