On October 7-9, 16th plenary meeting of the Anti-Corruption Network (ACN) for Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) took place in Paris.
Uzbekistan’s third round monitoring report and first and second round monitoring report of Mongolia as well as the progress of implementation of the recommendations issued for the rest Anti-Corruption Network (ACN) for Eastern Europe and Central Asia member states, such as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Tajikistan, Ukraine were discussed during the first stage of the meeting.
Progress of implementation of the recommendations was assessed by the ACN’s member states, assessment mission experts and representatives of NGOs. Georgian delegation provided monitoring of the progress of implementation of the recommendations issued for Ukraine and Armenia. During the second stage of the meeting, the ACN steering committee reviewed and approved 2016-2019 action plan. The newest anti-corruption strategies of the regional countries were also discussed at the meeting.
Implementation progress of the recommendations issued by the OECD-ACN for Georgia concerning public finances, state procurement and political corruption issues were assessed positively at the plenary meeting.
