NGOs’ report 28 May, 2015

Today, on May 28, 15 NGOs, acting in Georgia, assessed first two years of Georgian Dream’s being in power.  A summary report is about more than 20 spheres of the public policy.

NOGs of relevant specialization, which have actively been monitoring the developments in this sector, worked on the certain issues of this report. Their recommendations, in their turn, are supported by the experts’ knowledge of this sector and are based on the long-term study of the international best practice. These spheres are:  public management system and relations among governmental structures, work of law-enforcement bodies, justice, electoral reform, local self-governance, human rights and equality, economy and investments environment, foreign policy, environmental protection and energy, open government, media, migration and cultural heritage.

Auditor General of the State Audit Office Mr. Lasha Tordia attended this conference. Activity of the State Audit Office is positively assessed in the NOGs’ report. The report notes that after 2012, the activity of the State Audit Office became more transparent and its decisions are not of selective justice any more.
