Within the scope of the 3rd EUROSAI-ASOSAI Joint Conference gathering Supreme Audit Institutions, the Auditor General of the State Audit Office of Georgia Irakli Mekvabishvili and the State Comptroller of Israel Joseph Haim Shapira signed a Memorandum of Mutual Understanding in Israel.
The memorandum implies exchange of experiences and practices between the SAIs of the two countries, including risk-based audit planning, analysis, and innovation.
During the bilateral meeting, Irakli Mekvabishvili and Joseph Haim Shapira discussed challenges in audit sphere and cooperation prospects.
The delegation of the State Audit Office is attending the joint conference of EUROSAI and ASOSAI in Israel.
Auditor General Irakli Mekvabishvili will hold the presentation at the international conference, "Emerging Issues and Emerging Priorities." The conference is attended by 230 delegates from 45 countries, including 21 auditor generals.
