Today, on March 25, the State Audit Office (SAO) and the Swedish National Audit Office (SNAO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which aims at the improvement of the bilateral cooperation between the parties during 2014-2016 in performance audit sphere. The memorandum will facilitate the State Audit Office to implement performance audit according to the ISSAI standards of the supreme audit institutions.
Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Auditor General of the State Audit Office Mr. Lasha Tordia and Auditor General of the Swedish National Audit Office Mr. Jan Landahl.
Chair of the Budget and Finance Committee Mr. David Onofrishvili, Deputy Minister of Finance Mr. David Lejava, EU delegation headed by H.E. Mr. Philip Dimitrov, Ambassador of Sweden to Georgia Ms. Diana Janse, the National Democratic Institute Georgia Office Director Mr. Luis Navarro, IFES Chief of Party in Georgia Mr. Nermin Nisic as well as representatives of international and non-governmental organizations attended the meeting.
