Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation 02 June, 2017

Today, on June 2, the Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation was signed among the Parliament of Georgia, the State Audit Office, Ministry of Finance of Georgia and GIZ program - „Public Finance Management in the South Caucasus“.  

The goal of the memorandum is to strengthen cooperation and institutional capabilities between the parties in the public finance management and parliamentary budget oversight. The memorandum provides the establishment of an institutional management group of public finance management that will facilitate exchange of general information and experience among the parties.

The memorandum was signed by the First Deputy Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Tamar Chugoshvili, General Auditor of the State Audit Office Lasha Tordia, Deputy Minister of Finance Giorgi Kakauridze and Country Director of GIZ Office South Caucasus Mary Schäfer.

The GIZ program - "Public Finance Management in the South Caucasus" - has been implementing by the order and support of the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany from April 2017 until March 2029. Components of the program are: result-oriented budgets, tax and customs areas, state internal financial control systems, external financial control and parliamentary budget oversight.
