Representatives of the Public Defender\'s Office and NGOs working on programs and services for persons with disabilities meet in the State Audit Office.
At the meeting the parties discussed state programs being implemented for persons with disabilities by various state bodies. Public Defender\'s Office, and members of the Consultative Council for Monitoring the Implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Persons with Disabilities addressed the State Audit Office to conduct Performance and Compliance Audits of these programs.
The meeting was initiated by the Public Defender\'s Office and attended by the Deputy Public Defender Eka Skhiladze, staff members, members of the Advisory Board for Persons with Disabilities of the Public Defender’s Office, and Eka Gazadze, the Deputy Auditor General of the State Audit Office as well as heads of the relevant departments.
