On July 20, the Chair of the Georgian Parliament Davit Usupashvili met with the President of the Supreme Audit Institution of Germany Kay Scheller and Auditor-General of the State Audit Office of Georgia Lasha Tordia.
The activity of the State Audit Office, its achievements and challenges were discussed at the meeting. It was also stressed at the meeting that the Twinning program of the state agencies will promote the institutional development of the State Audit Office of Georgia.
Twinning program of the state agencies is the tool of the cooperation between the EU- member and beneficiary states. Currently, within the framework of the program, the project -- “Institutional development of the State Audit Office of Georgia” is being implemented, which is carried out by the Supreme Audit Institutions of Germany and Poland in cooperation with the State Audit Office of Georgia.
