Today, on September 22, Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze presented Auditor General at the State Audit Office.
“Impartiality, honesty and high qualification. According to these three words, the candidacy of Irakli Mekvabishvili was selected as the Auditor General and approved by the Parliament. I wish success to Irakli Mekvabishvili at the position of Auditor General,” said the Chairman of the Parliament.
“Our activities will be based on four main values - professionalism, impartiality, independence and publicity.
Technological base of the Audit Office will be strengthened. We will pay special attention to improving the Performance Audit as it is important everyone to know how monies collected from taxpayers are allocated, "said Auditor General in his interview with media.
Irakli Mekvabishvili highlighted that cooperation with the Parliament of Georgia as well as international donor organizations and partner states will be much more effective.
