IntoSAINT workshop in Montenegro 20 April, 2018

Mariam Kakhidze, representative of the State Budget and Strategic Analysis Department of the State Audit Office participated in IntoSAINT Integrity Self-Assessment Workshop organized by the Netherlands Audit Office in Podgorica, Montenegro.

Invited by the Supreme Audit Institution of the Netherlands, the SAO’s Analyst Mariam Kakhidze, together with the Dutch counterpart, moderated a workshop which aimed to improve the oversight of the system by developing the integrity-related risk management of the Supreme Audit Institution of Montenegro and relevant policy mechanisms.

The moderators introduced the IntoSAINT self-assessment methodology to the participants, according to which, representatives of the Supreme Audit Institution of  Montenegro assessed the integrity environment of the organization, integrity-related risks, vulnerable areas and current oversight systems.

Within the workshop, participants jointly developed recommendations to promote risk management and strengthening oversight mechanisms and to improve the organization\'s integrity environment, which they to the Montenegro SAI President and Senate members.

Organized by the Supreme Audit Office of the Netherlands, similar meetings took place in State Audit Office, in Tbilisi, on March 13-15.

IntoSAINT (Intosai Self Assessment INTegrity) is an INTOSAI self-assessment instrument, which helps the supreme audit institutions to introduce and develop integrity mechanisms.
