Workshop with the IFES Georgia representatives was held in the State Audit Office. Auditor General Irakli Mekvabishvili and IFES Georgia’s Chief of Party Jérôme Leyraud discussed future cooperation issues.
IFES is an international non-governmental organization that has been cooperating with the State Audit Office in political parties financial monitoring issues since 2012.
IFES was involved in working out of political financial monitoring methodology. In addition, aimed at the strengthening of the office, the organization provides technical support for organizing conferences and meetings.
The meeting was attended by the Auditor General Irakli Mekvabishvili, the Deputy Auditor General Eka Ghazadze, Head of Financial Monitoring Service of Political Parties Zurab Aznaurashvili, Deputy Chief of Party of IFES Georgia Ketevan Maisuradze and Officer of the Political Processes and Election Law.
