HEARING OF THE PERFORMANCE AUDIT REPORT OF REGULATORY SYSTEM OF DRUGS AND PHARMACEUTICAL ACTIVITIES IN PARLIAMENT OF GEORGIA 12 March, 2015

Today, on March 12,  a hearing of the Performance Audit  report of State Audit Office of Georgia – “Regulatory System of Drugs and Pharmaceutical Activities” took place in the Parliament.

Within the framework of the meeting, the main findings of Performance Audit of Regulatory System of Drugs and Pharmaceutical Activities were presented, which included the following issues:

  • Pre-market Control of the Drugs and Pharmaceutical Activities – Permits of pharmaceutical activities, Marketing Authorization of the pharmaceutical products;
  • Post-market Control of the Drugs and Pharmaceutical Activities – Inspection and Pharmacovigilance.

 

Presentation also covered recommendations provided for the eradication of the gaps based on an analysis of Performance Audit findings.

Representatives of the Healthcare and Social Issues Committee of the Georgian Parliament, Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, LEPL State Regulation Agency for Medical Activities and Performance Audit Department of the State Audit Office of Georgia attended the hearing.
