On February 25, a hearing of the Performance Audit report of the State Audit Office of Georgia – “Government Measures on Irrigation System Management” took place in the Parliament.
Within the framework of the meeting, the main findings of the Performance Audit of Government Measures on Irrigation System Management were presented, which included the following issues: provision of the irrigation service, the state irrigation policy, tariff structure and amount of irrigation service, farmers’ organization and environmental issues as well as recommendations provided for the eradication of the gaps based on an analysis of Performance Audit findings.
Representatives of the Agrarian Issues Committee, the Budget and Finance Committee of Georgian Parliament, Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia and Performance Audit Department of the State Audit Office of Georgia attended the hearing.
