"Budget Monitor" has won International Digital Innovation Award 08 November, 2017

Analytical webplatform of the State Audit Office - "Budget Monitor" was selected as one of the WORLD SUMMIT AWARD WINNERS 2017 in the category Government & Citizen Engagement.

The competition was organized by "World Summit Awards" (WSA), which is an international platform for digital innovations with high impact on society.

Almost 400 projects from 180 UN member states participated in this year´s WSA contest, in 8 different categories, from which 5 winners were selected in the category Government & Citizen Engagement. Together with the "Budget Monitor", projects from Austria, Portugal, India and Malaysia were awarded.

Budget Monitor was launched on March 9, 2017. Aim of the platform is to provide Parliament and other stakeholders with constantly updated budgetary information and to increase public awareness in budgetary process.

Webplatform "Budget Monitor" is a unique analytical portal which delivers information about public finance management process to citizens via easy-to-understand data visualizations. Particularly, the platform enables members of Parliament, civil society representatives, interested experts and other stakeholders to choose their sphere of interest and immediately obtain up-to-date reliable information about state revenues, expenses, public debt, infrastructural projects, program budgeting, public procurement and etc. Besides, the platform presents audit findings and recommendations conducted by State Audit Office using simple visual filters. Also, it enables citizens to engage in improvement of public finance management processe.
