Auditor General of the State Audit Office met with the representatives of the European Delegation. At the meeting Mr. Lasha Tordia talked about the important events implemented within the framework of the Public Finance Management Reform and noted that the EU\'s support of the establishment of the State Audit Office as an independent and strong supervisory institution played an important role in the PFM reform.”

The progress in the legislative amendments, audit methodologies, modern audit technologies and implementation of recommendations should be noted as well. Over the past few years, the SAO has been established as a modern supreme audit institution which carries out a risk-based audits and issues results-oriented recommendations, "said the Auditor General in his speech.
