The Permanent audit group of the Budget and Finance Committee of the Parliament of Georgia reviewing the reports of the State Audit Office (SAO) discussed the audits carried out by SAO in the field of education.
Education Management Information Systems (IT), audit reports on compliance of higher education programs and labor market reviewed the matter of how well an education management information system meets with the needs of students, parents and teachers, and how priorities of higher education fit the labor market.
Audit findings and issued recommendations were introduced by the auditors of SAO to MPs and field specialists.
Representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia presented the information regarding the plan of recommendation implementation to the members of the audit group.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport - Levan Kharatishvili, Head of Higher Education and Science Development Department - Nino Tsereteli and Director of LEPL Education Management Information System - Dimitri Beridze. The SAO was represented by the Deputy Auditor General of SAO - Davit Gogichaishvili, Head of Performance Audit Department - Giorgi Kapanadze, Head of Information Technology (IT) Audit Unit - Davit Shavgulidze, Deputy Head of Social Sector Audit Department - Mariam Zaalishvili and Auditors: Khatuna Agulashvili and Natia Kupatadze.
