Audit Report on Effectiveness of "Protection and Prevention Mechanisms of Domestic Violence" was discussed in Parliament 24 May, 2019

Working Group of the Parliament reviewing the State Audit Office reports together with the Human Rights Committee discussed the Performance Audit Report - "Protection and Prevention Mechanisms of Domestic Violence".

The report outlines the findings and information on tendencies in the violence protection and prevention mechanism issues, which were identified during the work on the report. The audit results were presented to the members of the Working Group by the Deputy Auditor General Eka Gazadze and the Head of the Performance Audit Department Giorgi Kapanadze.

Representatives of the State Audit Office, Auditees: Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, IDPs, representatives of the Labor, Health and Social Affairs and persons working on Gender Equality, Women Violence and Domestic Violence Issues answered the questions of MPs.

Auditees also presented the Action Plan for implementation of the recommendations and information about work done.
