On May 13, 2017 a conference: Assessing Public Procurement Legislation and Practice in Eastern Partnership Countries” was held. The Head of the SAO’s State Budget Analysis and Strategic Planning Department Ms. Marika Natsvlishvili attended the event.
“We presented our new portal at the conference – web-platform “Budget Monitor” which is an important mechanism for the public to control the state budget, including procurement. As for the deficiencies and tendencies of the state procurement carried out by the specific agencies, this information is included in the SAO’s annual report on “Execution of the State Budget”, which will be submitted to the Parliament on May 15,” stated Marika Natsvlishvili.
International experts, state officials and NGO’s representatives of six Eastern Partnership Countries (Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia), who attended the conference, presented findings of the assessment of the public procurement legislation and practice in these countries, discussed current challenges, problems and ways of their solution.
IDFI and Open Society Institute Budapest Foundation (OSI) hosted a conference “Assessing Public Procurement Legislation and Practice in Eastern Partnership Countries.”
