On September 15-18 of the current year delegation of the Chamber of Control of Georgia visited the Kingdom of Sweden, at the invitation of Swedish National Audit Office. Delegation was led by the Chairman of the Chamber of Control of Georgia, Mr Levan Bezhashvili. Other delegates were: Deputy Chairman-Devi Vepkhvadze, Head of Social Security Audit Department-Giorgi Alasania, Acting Head of General Purpose State Service Audit Department-George Jerenashvili and Assistant to the Chairman-Irena Melua.
The objective of the visit was to a sign a Memorandum of Long-Term Cooperation between the Chamber of Control of Georgia and the Swedish National Audit Office. Working meetings have been held at the Swedish National Audit Office.
During the meetings the parties talked about the exceptional role of the Swedish National Audit Office in the executive and executive authorities of Sweden, also its role in central and regional authorities. Delegates got acquainted with methodologies of conducting financial and performance audit and their implementing procedures.
Chairman of the Chamber of Control of Georgia, Mr Levan Bezhashvili and the Auditor General of Swedish National Audit Office, Mr Claes Norgren singed the Memorandum of Further Cooperation between the Chamber of Control of Georgia and the Chamber of Control of Georgia.
