The participants of the State Audit Office internship programme have completed the first stage of their internship. They underwent professional training sessions offered by the SAO together with the Public Audit Institute and passed the midterm exam.
The programme started last November, and six graduates were selected through an open competition. For practical experience, the interns are involved in the working processes of the Department in the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, Self-Government Entities, Performance and Economic Activities Audit departments. The internship period for the programme participants has been extended, and they will continue their audit practice for an additional six months.
Deputy Auditor Generals, Sophio Dvalishvili and Zaza Shekiladze, along with Nino Mdinaradze, Head of the Human Resource Management Division met the auditor-interns. They heard from the programme participants their assessment of the past six months, the experience they gained, the challenges they face, and their expectations.
The paid internship programme has been implemented for the fourth time in the SAO. The programme was created at the office in 2018. After professional internship, a total of 32 entry level officers joined the State Audit Office.
