A delegation from the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan paid a working visit to the State Audit Office of Georgia. As part of the visit, a meeting was hosted between the Auditor General Mr Tsotne Kavlashvili and the Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr Vugar Gulmammadov. The discussions focused on prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation and opportunities for experience sharing in audit activities.
During the working meetings, the parties introduced each other their strategic plans. The State Audit Office shared its experience with its colleagues on the audit of the government consolidated financial statements, performance audit, audit quality management and state budget execution. In turn, the Azerbaijan side presented its experience related to tax revenue audits and climate scanner audits. In addition, the Public Audit Institute introduced the guests the training programs aimed at strengthening professional and organizational capabilities, which will contribute to enhanced audit cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting also included thematic discussions.
