Auditors from the State Audit Office are participating in the professional programme of the Swedish National Audit Office (SNAO) on Performance Auditing for Experienced Auditors.
Auditors of the Social Audit Department Anano Lomaia and Nino Bregvadze, auditor of the Performance Audit Department Natia Chkhvirkia and Auditor Intern Kristine Matcharadze will work on performance audits, during which they will be mentored by international experts.
The one-year certification programme aims to enhance the competencies of auditors and improve the quality of performance audits in accordance with international standards.
The first workshop of the programme participants was held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through interactive sessions and practical exercises, participants discussed key topics including the differences between audit types, the 3E principles (Economy, Efficiency, and Effectiveness), Theory of Change, Logic of Intervention, and audit planning tools. The next meeting will be held in Macedonia in June.
The programme involves about 35 state auditors from eight SAIs - Georgia, Ukraine, Serbia, Moldova, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo.
The SAO is participating in the programme as a member of the Network of SAIs of the Candidate and Potential Candidate Countries for EU Membership.
