The Asian Development Bank (ADB) shared its experience with the State Audit Office (SAO) auditors regarding the financial management system implemented within the organization.
Representatives of ADB introduced the SAO auditors to the ADB’s financial management system, including its guiding standards, procedures, financial reporting frameworks, procurement processes, and the requirements applicable to procuring entities and contractors.
During the working meeting, the SAO also presented to ADB representatives the procedures established for preparing the audit of the government consolidated financial statements, which the SAO will begin conducting in 2025.
Additionally, state auditors took part in a financial management capacity-building workshop organized by the ADB. The workshop was attended by implementing and executing agencies involved in ADB-financed projects. Participants were introduced to the Bank’s guiding principles and operational practices.
