Deputy Auditor General Sophio Dvalishvili, together with over 20 Heads of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs), participated in a high-level workshop organized by the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI), held in Madrid, Spain.
The workshop provided an opportunity for the Heads of SAIs to exchange experiences and discuss measures that can be taken to bring positive changes to institutions.
The sessions focused on key thematic areas, such as public financial management and evaluation methodologies, the role of SAIs within anti-corruption frameworks, digitalisation and process automation on audit functions, and artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance the effectiveness of institutional operations.
INTOSAI/IDI will continue ongoing workshops to facilitate leadership and institutional management development through collaborative engagements for heads of SAIs.
During the visit, Deputy Auditor General Sophio Dvalishvili conducted working meetings with Dolores Genaro Moya, President of the Audit Section of the Tribunal De Cuentas (SAI Spain), and Guadalupe Fernandez Espinosa, Director of International Relations, where they discussed prospective cooperation activities.
