The State Audit Office, with the audit institutions from 25 countries of EUROSAI and the European Court of Auditors (ECA), participated in the EUROSAI Meeting, which was held in the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava.
The Meeting of the European Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI) was dedicated to the Strategic Goals for 2024-2030 Plan – SG 1 "Supporting effective, innovative and relevant audits by promoting professional cooperation and coordination" and SG 2 "Helping SAIs deal with new opportunities and challenges by supporting and facilitating their institutional capacity development".
The co-leaders of the strategic goals - representatives from the SAIs of Sweden, Germany, Lithuania, and Poland - shared their views on the importance of innovative approaches, audit methods, and the use of new technologies both in the audit process and in communication. On his part, the Deputy Auditor General Zaza Shekiladze, spoke about the engagement of the State Audit Office in the implementation of EUROSAI's Strategic Goals and sharing of experience.
Georgia is involved in five thematic, targeted working groups of EUROSAI, the leaders of which presented reports on the activities of the groups: the Working Group on the Audit of Funds Allocated to Disasters and Catastrophes (WGAFADC), Working Group on Information Technologies (ITWG), Working Group on Environmental Auditing (WGEA), the Working Group on Municipality Audit (WGMA), and Network for Ethics (N.ET).
Nino Kereselidze, the Head of International and Donor Relations Division also participated in the Meeting hosted in Bratislava.
