Salome Manjgaladze became a participant in the SAI Young Leaders Initiative of INTOSAI IDI 09 October, 2024

Salome Manjgaladze, Senior Auditor of the Performance Audit Department, has been selected as a participant in the INTOSAI IDI SAI Young Leaders Initiative (SYL 2024-2025). Among the representatives of Supreme Audit Institutions organizations participating in the competition, Salome became the winner with the topic "Empowering Diversity And Inclusion In Audits For Lasting Change".

SAI Young Leaders 2024-2025 program involves representatives of the SAIs from 20 countries. The SYL initiative aims to initiate and implement a change strategy to bring real and positive shifts in their SAI.

Salome Manjgaladze is mentored in improving and developing the change plan by the Head of the Performance Audit Department, Giorgi Kapanadze, who is also a professional coach of IDI. The participants of the SYL program will work on the selected project for one year and will receive support in its implementation from a personal mentor, the management of the audit office, as well as the IDI working group.

The first meeting of the working group in Kigali, Rwanda attended by 22 representatives of SAIs from 20 countries was led by the Program Curator, INTOSAI IDI Deputy Director General Archana Shirsat and Project Chief Jade Kareli.

At the meetings, management models and techniques were discussed, which will contribute to more effective implementation and management of the change plan to be accomplished by the participants. Participants shared their experiences and practices.

INTOSAI IDI is implementing the Young Leaders Program for the fourth time, and the representative of Georgia is participating in it for the first time.
