The Standing Working Audit Group of the Parliament discussed financial audit reports 24 June, 2024

The Standing Working Group on Audit Reports in the Parliament separate financial audits of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, the Ministry of  Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Health, Labour and Social Affairs of Georgia, the Ministry of Education and Youth of Georgia, the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, Prosecutor's Office of Georgia, The independent financial audit reports of the project implemented by the National Food Agency - "Plant Protection System Initiative".

Giorgi Kekelishvili, Head of the General State Services Audit Department, presented the findings and recommendations of the audit report to the members of the Working Group and the representatives of the auditees.

In the framework of financial audits, state auditors issued five conditional, two negative and one unmodified conclusions. The findings of the financial audits include the issues of asset management, requirements and obligations, accounting and reporting, and general control mechanisms, for the purpose of improvement of which the SAO issued 62 recommendations. 

The auditees shared the recommendations issued by the auditors and presented a plan of measures necessary to implement the recommendations.
