The Representatives of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) Development Initiative (IDI) visited the State Audit Office during their visit as a delegation participating in the INTOSAI Performance Audit Subcommittee 15th annual meeting hosted in Tbilisi.
IDI Deputy Director General Archana Shirsat and Professional Audit Department Senior Manager Maria Lucia Lima met the Auditor General Tsotne Kavlashvili and Deputy Auditor General Sophio Dvalishvili.
The meeting concerned the involvement of the SAO in the working groups of the international organizations of SAIs and the ongoing projects of IDI, as well as the support of IDI in the processes of professional and organizational development.
The Annual Meeting of INTOSAI Performance Audit Subcommittee (PAS) is being held in Tbilisi on March 5-6, hosted by the State Audit Office attended by the representatives from the SAIs of 30 countries.
On the first day of the Annual Meeting, the progress of the activities provided by the action plan of the subcommittee will be discussed, followed by experience sharing and innovative audit practices the next day.
The State Audit Office has been actively participating in the activities of the INTOSAI PAS since 2015 and is involved in the process of updating and synchronizing professional standards and basic auditing principles.
The meeting was also attended by Giorgi Kapanadze, Head of the Performance Audit Department and Tsotne Karkashadze, Head of the State Budget Department.
