With the initiative of the State Audit Office, the 8th meeting of the EUROSAI Task Force on Municipality Audit (TFMA) Working Group will be held in Georgia next year. In 2024, topic of the annual seminar will be „Local government infrastructure projects“.
The TFMA group holds an annual seminar and workshop for EUROSAI members. This year, the meeting hosted in Warsaw was attended by 66 representatives of the Supreme Audit Institutions from 26 countries. At the meeting of the working group, the State Audit Office was represented by the auditors of the Self-Government Entities Audit Department: Chief Auditor Tea Arveladze, and Auditor Giorgi Darakhvelidze.
The topic of this year's seminar was „Distribution of Transfers and Grants”. At the meeting participants shared their country's experience and discussed the topic of the next year's seminar.
The TFMA working group was established in 2016 and aims to exchange best practices and experiences to achieve audit results that have a significant impact on improving public financial management and increasing the effectiveness of the municipal audit system.
