Giorgi Kapanadze, Head of the Performance Audit Department of the State Audit Office, participated as a mentor in the workshop, which was hosted in Tunisia within the framework of the INTOSAI IDI project Equal Futures Audit (EFA).
The EFA project is one of the new, ongoing projects of IDI, which aims to focus audit activities at the national level on vulnerable groups, social and inclusive communities, to improve the future of all populations or social groups equally.
The EFA project strengthens the participating countries in two directions - strategic plan so that audits cover more vulnerable groups and problematic issues, and second - the involvement of IDI experts in the role of mentors directly in the process of conducting audits.
The workshop hosted in Tunisia was attended by 30 changemakers responsible for the implementation of EFA principles in their audit institutions. Giorgi Kapanadze prepared a training course module for the workshop participants and facilitated sharing the topics on actual social issues of conducting audits. Within the framework of the project, he will help the participating countries as a mentor in strategic audit plan and audit implementation.
The Equal Futures Audit project involves employees from the Supreme Audit Institutions of Brazil, Egypt, Indonesia, Kosovo, Maldives, Mauritania, Nepal, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Serbia, Thailand, Tunisia, Tuvalu and Vanuatu. At the workshop they were mentored and conducted a training course by experts from SAIs of Georgia, USA, Kenya and Philippines.
