Deputy Auditor General Sophio Dvalishvili delivered a speech at the centennial international conference hosted in Latvia and spoke about the activities of the State Audit Office.
In Riga, the capital of Latvia, heads and representatives of Supreme Audit Institutions of the Czech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Israel and Georgia attended the conference dedicated to the 100 anniversary of the establishment of the SAI Latvia.
The conference related to the two topics - audit work as a tool for increase the benefit to the society; Discussion and sharing of experiences in audit strength.
In her speech, Sophio Dvalishvili talked about the support of the Latvian partner organization and introduced to the participants the stakeholder engagement practices. The conference was also attended by Nino Kereselidze, Head of International and Donor Relations Division of the State Audit Office.
The conference participants were addressed by President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs, Speaker of the Parliament of Latvia (Saeima) Edvards Smiltēns, Prime Minister of Latvia Krišjānis Kariņš, President of Latvia (1999-2007) Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga.
