With the support of the US Agency for Development (USAID), within the framework of SAO-CAE cooperation, the auditors of the SAO attended professional trainings of the Center for Auditing Excellence (CAE) - performance audit methodology, leading and managing audit teams.
The training was led by Stephen Lord and Sidney Schwartz, experts from the Center for Audit Excellence (CAE) of the US GAO. This is the second visit of the training center of the US Supreme Audit Office to the State Audit Office.
The experts got familiar with the ongoing process of audits in the fields of health and agriculture, which are supervised within the framework of SAO-CAE cooperation.
Within the visit, the representatives of the CAE participated in reviewing the State Audit Office Handbook of the Code of Ethics for implementation prepared with the involvement of the US side.
At the meeting with the CAE experts, the management of the State Audit Office summarized the current activities of the Office and the parties discussed the issues of further cooperation.
Within the visit, the experts meeting with the representatives of the Public Audit Institute of the State Audit Office discussed prospective cooperation in continuous professional development of auditors.
